Douglas’s heartfelt acknowledgments extended to his late father, Hollywood icon Kirk Douglas, whose legacy and guidance he credited as foundational to his career. This touching moment underscored the intergenerational impact of cinema.

Adding to the event’s allure, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Douglas’s wife, was also honored, further highlighting the festival’s embrace of global cinema icons. Her words echoed the warm hospitality and rich cultural experience they encountered in India, from the bustling streets of Mumbai to the historical grandeur of Jaipur.
