Mumbai, India – In a tragic incident that unfolded on Monday, a massive fire engulfed a nine-story building in Kandivali, Mumbai fire claims two lives while leaving three others injured. The fire was reported at the Santoor building, locally known as Pavan Dham Veena Santur.

The blaze, which broke out on the first floor of the building, quickly escalated, prompting an immediate response from Mumbai Fire Services. At 12:27 pm, fire tenders rushed to the scene, desperately battling the flames that threatened the lives and property of residents.

A civic official at the scene reported, “Fire-fighting operation is going on with the help of two small hose lines and one first aid line of four motor pumps.” The situation was grave, but the valiant efforts of the firefighters were relentless.

In the wake of the disaster, all relevant agencies, including Adani Power, local police, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) ward, and the 108 ambulance service, were swiftly mobilized to provide assistance and support.

As per information shared by Times of India, the injured victims were promptly transported to Shatabdi Hospital for medical care.

While the fire primarily affected electrical wiring and installations within the building, the exact cause of the fire remains unknown. Fire officials are actively investigating the incident to determine the root cause.
