The battle for premium smartphones has heated up with the recent unveiling of iQOO’s latest Neo series in China, comprising the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro. These smartphones boast cutting-edge features, promising to challenge other dominant contenders in the market.

The iQOO Neo 9 Pro takes the lead with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 SoC, coupled with Android 14-based OriginOS 4. It flaunts an impressive configuration, offering up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The gaming experience gets a boost from the Q1 chip, ensuring stable frame rates. To maintain sustained performance, the Neo 9 Pro integrates a VC liquid cooling chamber and a double-layer capillary power pump, aiding in heat dissipation.

Notably, it introduces ‘wet hand control,’ allowing usage even with wet or sweaty hands. The device features a centered punch-hole accommodating a 16MP selfie camera and an underneath fingerprint reader for biometric authentication.

In the imaging department, the Neo 9 Pro impresses with a dual-camera setup – a 50MP primary camera (with OIS) and a 50MP ultrawide camera, employing similar sensors to the vivo X100 series. Additionally, it incorporates a 360ยบ antenna design for enhanced signal reception and connectivity.

Powering this performance-driven device is a robust 5,160mAh battery with 120W charging support, accompanied by stereo speakers, NFC, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4.

On the other hand, the iQOO Neo 9 mirrors many features of its Pro variant, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and subtle differences in memory configurations and Bluetooth versions.
