Initially, authorities reported one suspect in custody and sought at least one other. However, following Phillips’ arrest, it remains unclear if additional suspects are being pursued. Phillips is currently in custody and will face an initial court appearance on Monday.

The early morning fight had been occurred in area with several bars and clubs which was the center of Tampa’s cigar industry. In more recent years, the area mainly known for its nightlife and hundreds of people were roaming on the street at the Sunday shooting’s time as mostly nightspots had been closed said by the Tampa Police.

The Tampa Police department had mainly 50 officers which are deployed in the area at that particular time, so this is not considered to be an law enforcement issue.
